An explainer video must be simple and clear! Here are 3 things you need to keep in mind when creating 90 second explainer videos!
Creating an explainer video for your new startup is not easy, especially when that video should be 90 seconds long. Most people think that when creating an explainer video, smooth transitions, flashy colors, and intense narration voice should be included. In other words, we focus on the visuals because that’s what we thought it is most important. The smooth transitions, as well as, the characters’ appearances between scenes were the main focus for quite some time. But, something else was missing. We overlooked something that was of a great importance and that is the script.
The script represents the foundation of explainer videos and when a script is professionally and excellently written, you can expect better results.
Here are the most important things you need to keep in mind when creating the script for your 90 second explainer videos:
- The exact problem you solve – If you want to create an appropriate introduction to your video, you need to focus on the problem statement and who your target customers exactly what problem you solve. The more specific you are, the stronger relationship you will form with your audience.
- Target customers – For those who didn’t know – a target market segmentation or target audience is a specific group of individuals who want or need your products or services. Selecting the right target group starts by identifying the needs and desires your product or service meets. You need to ask yourself – who is most likely to use your product or service? When answering this question, you need to consider factors such as buying power, marital status, geographical location, and age. Be as specific as possible when identifying your target group and their needs.
- How your brand will solve a specific problem and why you are better than your competitors – When writing your explainer video, you need to think as a customer so you can write the perfect script using that mindset as an example. You need to show your target customers how your brand will manage to solve a specific problem and why they should purchase your products or services and not purchase from your competitors. Give reliable information and details.
The 90 second explainer videos require a lot of work. Keep these 3 things in mind and you will be able to create an amazing video for your new startup.
